On Sunday I decided to stretch my legs and go for a run. My first mistake was doing this just before the monsoon rains hit. I didn’t get rained on in the conventional sense but rather my genetics and the 99% relative humidity combined to create a sweat monsoon that left me absolutely saturated.  My second mistake was not being prepared for the native wildlife that wanders the streets of Colombo. Luckily this guy was busy digesting the last fool that collapsed of dehydration during an afternoon run, so I made it home in one piece…this time.
